Setting Up Your FileSeal Account
Welcome to FileSeal! This guide will walk you through setting up your professional account and preparing for secure document sharing.

Step 1: Creating Your Account
Navigate to FileSeal and click "Get Started" or "Sign Up".
Authentication Process
FileSeal uses Auth0 for secure authentication. You can sign up with:
- Professional email address
- Google account
- LinkedIn account
Important: Use your professional email address as this will be visible to clients when they receive document requests.
Step 2: Professional Profile Setup
After successful authentication, you'll be prompted to complete your professional profile:
Required Information
- Professional Title: Choose from solicitor, financial advisor, accountant, etc.
- Company Name: Your firm or practice name
- Custom Title: If your specific role isn't listed
Why This Matters
Your professional information appears in all client communications, building trust and credibility.
Step 3: Understanding Your Dashboard
The FileSeal dashboard is your command centre for all document activities.
Dashboard Sections
- Quick Stats: Overview of active requests, completed seals, and downloads
- Recent Activity: Latest document requests and client interactions
- Filter Options: Total, Pending, Sealed, Downloaded status views
- Action Buttons: Create new requests, view settings
Status Indicators
- 🟡 Pending: Waiting for client upload
- 🔵 Sealed: Client has uploaded, awaiting your download
- 🟢 Downloaded: Documents successfully retrieved
- 🔴 Expired: Request expired before completion
Step 4: Account Verification
Email Verification
Ensure your email address is verified to:
- Receive upload notifications
- Access account recovery options
- Enable all professional features
Trial vs. Professional
- 7-day trial: 5 document seals included
- Professional plan: Unlimited seals, advanced features
- Seamless upgrade: No interruption to active requests

Common Setup Issues
Can't verify email?
